CHESSBOXING   Es un juego en el que se mezcla el boxeo y el ajedrez

 El juego tiene un encuentro entre 2 oponentes consiste en 11 rondas por los cuales se van alternando el boxeo y el ajedrez, empezando con 4 minutos de partida de ajedrez y seguido por 3 minutos de boxeo. Entre cada ronda hay una pausa de un minuto, durante las cuales los competidores cambian su vestimenta.

DRAW   un empate. Si el juego de ajedrez llega a un punto muerto, los resultados de las rondas de boxeo se utilizan para determinar el ganador. Si la puntuación de boxeo es también un draw, el resultado es declarado un empate.

  La modalidad de ajedrez es la blitz, en las cuales los competidores disponen un total de 12 minutos. 

 El primer campeonato mundial tuvo lugar en Ámsterdam, en el 2003, el campeón fue Iepe Rubingh. El primer campeonato europeo de Chess boxing tuvo lugar en Berlín el primero de Octubre del 2005, en donde Tihomir Titschko, de Bulgaria derrotó al alemán Andreas Schneider.

Los competidores pueden ganar por nocaut, jaque mate o una decisión tomada por los jueces cuando los 12 minutos de un oponente se han terminado.

Los guantes  generalmente suelen ser azules.
